We are a commercial wholesale grower that supplies live plants to multiple retailers throughout the year.
Our focus is providing and maintaining high-quality plant products and superior customer service to our retail partners.
We are seeking a Garden Center Merchandiser for the Quincy, Illinois Walmart.
This is a seasonal position that terminates in late June.
Reliable transportation is required.
Our ideal candidate will have plant knowledge and customer service skills, but is not required.
Candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and with team members.
You will be expected to partner with Walmart Garden Center Associates to follow through with management's directives and goals for each store.
JOB EXPECTATIONS, DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS:
Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with locating products, selecting plants and answering their questions Communicate with supervisor in a timely manner Complete daily tasks which include; setting up displays, stocking plants and watering plants Set-up and maintain displays of garden center merchandise according to planograms Ensure that all merchandise is properly labeled and priced Maintain cleanliness and organization of the garden center area Able to lift and move weight up to 50 lbs Interact with store personnel and customers in a professional manner Able to stand for long hours and work in an outdoor environment during cold and hot weather Reliable transportation Smart phone with wireless connection and ability to download necessary apps Available to work weekends, especially Mothers Day weekend Job Types:
