We have multiple shifts available for these growth positions.
This is a real opportunity for a great local job in Quincy, IL with outstanding benefits! As a Sharkey Fleet Manager your duties will include:
Tracking of drivers while in transit, Receive and review driver work assignments, Dispatch loads to the drivers (issue load information, loading instructions, directions, routing, and fuel information), Calling customers for scheduling, Alerting fellow team members of issues/changes that might impact driver success, Promoting safety through active management of our drivers hours of availability, Focusing on driver utilization and retention through understanding our driver requirements/preferences, Driver motivation, evaluation, and conflict resolution, and more! MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/
Experience:
Previous Experience in Transportation and Logistics, or related field Preferred but not required.
We Will Train the Right Person! Experience in McLeod system is extremely helpful.
Fluent in computer applications and keyboard proficiency.
Ability to function in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful work environment.
Excellent organization and problem-solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including good listening skills.
