50 shift differential Registered Nurse (RN) Care Functions ? Responsible for assessing patient/family health problems and resources ? Takes a leadership role in the development, implementation and outcomes evaluation of a nursing care plan provided by the nursing team ? Provides direct nursing care and interventions to designated patient populations ? Provides services to one or more age populations, including adolescent through geriatric, in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served ? Must have full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Blessing Hospital ? Demonstrates behavior consistent with the Core Values while supporting the strategic plan, goals, and direction of the Performance Improvement Process (PIP) and safety plan at Blessing Hospital.
Surgical Unit Details ? This unit has 41 private rooms.
? This unit cares for patients who are above 17 years of age who require medical/surgical nursing care.
? The primary population served is surgical to include but not limited to:
orthopedics, bariatrics, vascular, neurology and general surgery.
? The unit also serves general medical patients with diagnosis including but not limited to:
sepsis, respiratory diseases, gastrointestinal diseases, skin and wound conditions and infections.
? Modified primary nursing is the care delivery model utilized and includes the following team members:
Registered Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, Case Managers, Discharge Planners, Social Workers, and Unit Secretary.
