Information Providers, Inc (IPI) is currently accepting applications for Insurance Underwriting Surveyors for personal lines and commercial lines to work in the Des Moines and surrounding area.
Work from home and outdoor work opportunity.
We welcome seasoned Insurance Inspector/Surveyor professionals, but experience is not necessary.

We teach and mentor our staff on how to skillfully prepare a detailed and professional Underwriting Reports.

Our Insurance Underwriting Surveyors conduct on-site insurance inspections collecting photographs, home/business characteristics, and identifying any hazards or concerns that may exist.
These are the job requirements.
Insurance background helpful, but not required.
Business-related college degree (2 year minimum) OR equivalent experience is helpful.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and have strong analytical, problem solving, decision making, and organizational skills.
Strong computer skills, including general knowledge of Windows Office products.
This is what we offer.
If you don't have any experience, we do provide paid training during your first 3 months.
Eventually, this is a production-based pay position, our staff charge for their time to complete the reports.
As an experienced insurance professional, the income ranges from $16-$18 an hour and up (depending on experience and qualifications).
IPI does offer their full-time staff a comprehensive benefit package, which does include 401K, health, dental, life, short term & long-term disability, flexible spending accounts along with paid vacation and holidays.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
